Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data PassPharm collects, why, and your rights over it. PassPharm (“we”, “us”) is operated by Shaneil Chandran. For any privacy question, contact shaneil141525@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address and a display name, when you create an account.
  • Study progress — the questions you attempt, scores, flagged questions, your private notes, revision schedule, XP and streak.
  • Payment details — if you buy Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and which plan you bought.
  • Technical data — basic information your browser sends (such as device/browser type) and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use it

  • To provide the service — show questions, save and sync your progress across your devices.
  • To run the leaderboard — your display name, level and headline stats are visible to other signed-in users. Choose a display name accordingly.
  • To process Pro purchases and grant access.
  • To keep the service secure and to improve it.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for), on the basis of our legitimate interests (keeping the service working and secure), and with your consent where required.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database & sign-in), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme and smart-revision setting. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can edit your name and password in your account, and you can ask us to delete your account and data by emailing shaneil141525@gmail.com. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Retention

We keep your account and progress while your account is active. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your personal data, except anything we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (such as payment records).

Children

PassPharm is intended for pharmacy trainees and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
